AS Roma e UNHCR uniscono le proprie forze ancora una volta a sostegno delle donne e dei bambini ucraini colpiti dalla guerra.
Il Club, in occasione della sfida dello Stadio Olimpico del 5 marzo scorso contro la Juventus, ha indossato una patch a supporto dell’Agenzia ONU per i Rifugiati. Le maglie indossate dai calciatori giallorossi sono ora all’asta e i fondi raccolti saranno destinati all’UNHCR per l’acquisto di abiti per donne e bambini, coperte, cibo, stufe e teli isolanti per abitazioni danneggiate.
L’iniziativa è stata promossa a un anno dallo scoppio del conflitto, dopo il quale almeno 12 milioni di persone vivono senza accesso all’energia elettrica e al riscaldamento.
Sono centinaia di migliaia, infatti, le famiglie che stanno affrontando un rigido inverno in case danneggiate o in edifici inadatti a proteggerli dal gelo, senza energia elettrica, riscaldamento e forniture idriche e senza mezzi di sussistenza.
L’AS Roma è alla quarta collaborazione con UNHCR, dopo quella del 2021 e del 2022.

AS Roma and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have joined forces once more in support of women and children from Ukraine who have been affected by the war.
The players worn a UNHCR patch on their shirts used in Roma Juventus in Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico on 5 March, 2023. The shirts worn by the players are now auctioning and the proceeds will go to
UNHCR towards purchasing clothes for women and children, blankets, food, stoves and insulation sheets for damaged homes.
This initiative have been announced one year after the outbreak of the conflict, which has left at least 12 million people without access to electricity and heating.
Hundreds of thousands of families are facing a harsh winter in damaged houses or buildings which do not protect them from the frost. They are without electricity, heating, water supplies and have no means of making a living.
This is AS Roma’s fourth collaboration with UNHCR, after previous initiatives in 2021 and 2022.
