AZ is aware of its social function, both on and off the field. AZ belongs to Alkmaar and the region. The AFAS Stadium is a meeting place for all layers of the population, regardless of age, gender or origin. Through the Alkmaar Zaanstreek Foundation, AZ structurally supports various social projects to show its commitment to society, nationally but especially in the region. The Foundation was established to bring about positive change and create connection. AZ finds it important that more attention is paid to social challenges in our region. AZ wants to do something about that with the Alkmaar Zaanstreek Foundation. Participation, connection and equality of opportunity are central to all activities the Foundation is involved in.
