As soon as founder Paco Arango crossed the threshold of a children’s cancer ward for the first time in 2001, as a volunteer, he knew that he had found his life’s mission and a way to repay his good fortune. Four years later, in 2005, Fundación Aladina was born. Since then, Aladina has been working non-stop to make sure that no seriously ill child or their family ever loses their smile or their determination to fight. Aladina offers them all their love and support from the moment they receive their diagnosis. Today, Aladina helps more than 1,500 children with serious illnesses all around Spain every year, through its work in more than 18 partner hospitals
As Aladina strives to expand their global impact, they officially became a member of the UICC in 2023, the Union for International Cancer Control, an organisation committed exclusively to the worldwide control of cancer.
