Elk kind bezit talent, dat staat buiten kijf. Toch zijn er jongeren die hun talent niet of onnodig laat ontdekken en ontwikkelen. Dit komt doordat factoren zoals omgeving en sociaaleconomische achtergrond een negatieve invloed kunnen uitoefenen op talentontplooiing. Factoren waar jongeren zelf geen invloed op hebben. Eén van de gevolgen van het niet tot bloei laten komen van talent en de ongelijke kansen, is dat Amsterdam steeds meer jongeren heeft met mentale gezondheidsproblemen zoals stress, angst of depressie. De Ajax Foundation wil deze jongeren helpen. Door ze bewust te maken van hun talenten en hen ook de nodige vaardigheden aanleren om deze talenten positief in te zetten. Voor henzelf en hun omgeving.
