Meet the Founders
In 2015, brothers Bob and Tijmen Zonderwijk set out to find the perfect gift for their father, a lifelong Ajax fan. They wanted a match-worn & signed Ajax shirt but soon realized how difficult it was to get one. That challenge sparked an idea – what if fans worldwide could easily access authentic, match-worn shirts from their favorite clubs? What began as a personal mission quickly grew into something much bigger. In 2017, MatchWornShirt secured its first partnership with FC Twente, launching an auction for their match-worn shirts. From there, the company expanded, handling everything from collection to delivery. Today, MatchWornShirt works with over 300 soccer clubs worldwide and partners with some of the biggest teams in cycling, rugby, cricket, and many other sports, with the mission of bringing fans closer to the moments that define sports history.
