Painting made by Michael Frey
Cercle Brugge
-Royal Antwerp FC
Frey went to art school before he turned professional. This original canvas, signed in his own hand, brings his two crafts together in Antwerp colours.
This original painting on canvas was made by Royal Antwerp striker Michael Frey in 2026.
Painted in the club's red, black and white, it shows a packed stand rising behind the goal. In front of the supporters, a number 9 celebrates in RAFC colours, the same number Frey wears for the club.
Art came before football for Frey. Growing up in Switzerland, he studied at art school before turning professional. He has kept painting throughout his career, often drawing on Antwerp itself for inspiration.
His first spell at the club brought 33 goals in 69 matches, five of them in a single match at Standard Liège, and a share in the 2022-23 double. He came back in August 2026 and scored twice against SK Beveren on his second debut, the winner an overhead kick. Signed “Michi Frey 26”, this one-of-one piece comes from a striker who celebrates the Great Old with a brush as well as with his boots.

Where the money goes
Where the money goes
Younited BelgiumWhether it is the warmth of the changing room or the adrenaline on the field, the high of victory or the despair of a loss, we share the good and the bad at Younited Belgium. Players bond with their teammates and consider the Younited-team a ‘home’. Regardless of where they come from, what age they are or what life-style they have, the feeling of coming home on entering the changing room is universal.
It gives the Younited-team players wings, a positive identity and energy to redirect their lives. The Younited teams coaches want to offer their players a chance to build their confidence, to improve their self-image, to restructure their lives, to feel the support of the group and to feel that all-important sense of belonging. The team helps the players take crucial initial steps towards a new beginning.
Football is just a means, but what a means. No other sport has such a broad base of support. Our network of social organisations, football clubs and municipal services bear witness to the process-driven way the teams work, locally and nationally, always keeping one eye on the social goals and one eye on the (foot)ball.
