This official Spain shirt was worn by captain Xavi for the European Championship qualifying win against Scotland at the Estadio José Rico Pérez in Alicante in October 2011.
Xavi started in his familiar number 8 and played just over an hour as Spain won 3-1, sealing a perfect qualifying campaign of eight wins from eight.
The shirt dates from the peak of Spain’s golden era, when the side held both the world and European titles. Voted best player of Euro 2008, Xavi set the tempo for that team in midfield.
It is offered from the collection of Charlie Adam, the Scotland midfielder who started against him that night. With 133 caps and three major tournament wins, Xavi stands among the greatest players ever to wear the red of Spain.
