Legacy Numbers: Celebrating All of Tottenham Hotspur’s Past and Present Players

129 years: that’s how long it’s been since Tottenham Hotspur played its first senior competitive soccer match. Now, two months into what has started out as Tottenham’s most successful Premier League season in recent memory, the club has announced the Legacy Numbers initiative, created to honor all the players who have represented the club throughout history.
The players on the current team have had their Legacy Number inscribed beneath the collar on the back of their jerseys in small black font. As an official Tottenham supplier, we applaud the club for choosing such a distinctive way to highlight all the individuals who have helped forge its reputation as a powerhouse of English soccer.
