Chelsea memorabilia collector Oak's man cave!
Published March 5, 2021
Oak started his Chelsea collection just a year ago, when he received a fan shop jersey with his name on it from his girlfriend. A decision she still regrets… At the moment, he has more than 40 game-worn/match-prepared shirts and lots of other memorabilia, like match balls, limited-edition books, and 25 pairs of boots.
Fun fact: Oak has better memories of the 2008 Champions League final they lost than of their win in 2012. This is because in 2008 he was living in a dorm, and to watch the final, he collected money from his fellow students so they could buy the rights and watch it on a big screen!
Obviously Frank Lampard is his all-time favorite player, which makes his match-issued Champions League final shirt his favorite possession! Oak has a unique perspective on his collection. He wants to tie the whole story together. So whenever he acquires a game-worn shirt, he'll also try to get the boots and ball from the same match!
Besides the impressive collection he put together in just one year, Oak has also made friends with lots of fellow collectors all over the world! And when it's possible again, he's planning to finally go to a Chelsea match in London. In the meantime, he'll be working on building his own man cave, which should be finished within a year!
