The Belgian Red Flames are making history!

Published December 10, 2021

The Belgian Red Flames are burning brighter than ever!  Having established themselves as one of the best women's national soccer teams in recent years, the Belgian Red Flames are looking to secure their spot at the 2023 World Cup! With 4 wins in their last 6 qualifying matches, the Red Flames are currently on track to make history and reach the World Cup for the first time ever!  The achievement would represent a remarkable moment in Belgian sports history and would exemplify just how talented the team really is!

Speaking of making history, Janice Cayman is actually making history every time she steps onto the field!  Born in 1988, the creative midfielder currently holds the team's all-time appearances record, with over 100 international caps! Recently, the Belgians also set the record for the largest margin of victory in a women's World Cup qualifier by beating Armenia 19-0!

The team's most recent international outing told a similar story, as the Red Flames secured a convincing win over group rivals Poland, moving one step closer to playing on soccer's biggest stage! The game-worn & signed jerseys from their 4-0 victory are now available on our platform, with the proceeds being donated to the Belgian Red Courts initiative.

The project's main focus is to bring communities together and increase inclusion and citizenship among young people through the power of soccer. The raised funds will be used to implement educational soccer programs and renovate more than 40 soccer courts across Belgium!
