He finished as the top scorer in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League with nine goals — ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, ahead of Erling Haaland. He bagged a hat-trick in the play-off semi-final against Ukraine, scored the winner against Poland in the final, and would be appearing in his first World Cup.
Anthony Elanga, Yasin Ayari, Victor Lindelöf, Lucas Bergvall, Hugo Larsson, Roony Bardghji, are all names expected to feature.
Whether stars Alexander Isak and Dejan Kulusevski are fit by the summer remains to be seen.
