Rangers F.C.: The legend that keeps on giving!

In the world of soccer, reaching the highest level of competitive play is a dream shared by millions of sports fans around the world. Breaking into the sport’s elite is something many can’t achieve, while consistently staying at the top of your game and setting the standard for your competitors is nearly impossible. We’ve seen teams like Real Madrid and Manchester United set the pace in European soccer for years, but even their achievements pale in comparison to the sheer dominance Rangers FC has shown in Scotland over the past decade!
The club was founded in 1872 under the name “Glasgow Argyle” before eventually being renamed Rangers at one of its first club meetings. Since its inception, the club has won more than 50 Scottish league championships and over 30 Scottish cups, making it the most successful team in the world in terms of domestic league titles won. In addition to its domestic accomplishments, the club has also shown its prowess on the international stage by winning the 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup after defeating Dynamo Moscow 3-2 in the final!
Rangers had to fight their way back up the soccer hierarchy after being demoted following the 2011/2012 season, but since rejoining the Scottish Premiership in 2016, the team has looked sharper than ever. During the 2020/2021 season, under Steven Gerrard’s leadership, Rangers became only the second team in Scottish history to win the league without losing a single game! That historic run marked the beginning of a new era at Rangers FC—one we couldn’t be more excited about!
The Scottish team is also a proud supporter of Poppyscotland and the Scottish Poppy Appeal. The club showed its commitment to the cause by wearing special poppy-embroidered jerseys during a match against Ross County at the end of last year.
