Just over 6 years ago, Liverpool appointed Jürgen Klopp as the team’s new manager—a move that marked the beginning of a new era at Anfield. After an up-and-down first season in charge, the German would then go on to lead the team to its 19th top-flight title and its first since the 1989-1990 season. Following that achievement, the Reds also showcased their prowess on the international stage by winning their 6th Champions League trophy and establishing themselves as one of the best teams in the world. ??
Despite its impressive track record over the past few seasons, Liverpool is showing no signs of slowing down and is seemingly getting better by the day! Earlier this week, the Reds managed to take down AC Milan to become the first English team in history to win all 6 group-stage games in a Champions League campaign. The match at the San Siro also marked the first time that a Liverpool player has managed to score in 5 European matches in the same season, as Mohamed Salah found the back of the net during yet another stellar performance by the Egyptian! ??
