Everton FC | Soccer is for everyone!

The beautiful thing about sport is that it has the ability to unite people to achieve positive ends; whether it’s teammates, fans, or even opponents. This unique ability was highlighted by Everton Football Club and their Technical Partner, hummel.

Everton and hummel teamed up to create a special limited-edition warm-up shirt in order to raise awareness for inclusivity in sport. The unique shirts were worn by both Everton and Everton Women’s teams during the warm-up before their matches against Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion Women, respectively.

The shirts are unlike any we have ever seen before. The design features all the flags recognized by the LGBTI+ community, creating an explosion of color. The Club name appears on the right side of the chest, while the crest appears on the front of the left shoulder. The player number is also displayed in a unique way and is positioned on the right side of the back; all in all, it’s a sight to behold.

This is a fantastic way to show support for inclusivity in the beautiful game, as well as raising awareness and funds for Everton in the Community’s Youth Engagement Programme, which will deliver LGBTI+ awareness elements into schools in Merseyside.
