Help the Fight Against Blood Cancer by Winning a Game-Worn & Signed Jersey

Every year in the UK, close to ten thousand people are diagnosed with leukemia - an often fatal form of blood cancer. It is possible for a patient to make a full recovery from leukemia if the illness is detected early on and they are given the correct course of treatment. Standard chemotherapy is used to help fight leukemia, but this toxic treatment can result in horrific side effects for patients.
That’s where Cure Leukaemia steps in. Founded by Professor Charlie Craddock CBE in 2002, the charity’s original intention was to make vital new treatments for leukemia available to patients throughout the Birmingham region. Twenty-one years later, its scope has broadened and now also includes the entire UK.
Since 2020, Cure Leukaemia has funded the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP), a network of specialist research nurses that costs more than £1 million per year to maintain and is made up of fifteen blood cancer centers located across the following cities: Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Cardiff, Nottingham, Birmingham, Oxford, Southampton, Surrey, and London. This network enables the accelerated setup and delivery of potentially lifesaving blood cancer clinical trials, providing patients from a catchment area of over 30 million people with access to treatments not currently available through standard care.
MatchWornShirt is proud to be collaborating with Cure Leukaemia for the second year in a row. During Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we are raising money for the invaluable work currently being done by the charity through a series of exclusive live auctions. The items in these auctions are all match-worn & signed shirts or squad-signed shirts, with the exception of a single official match ball signed by multiple members of the Arsenal team.
