Christian Atsu's Dream Lives On

Christian Atsu dreamed of building a school back in Senya Baku, Ghana, making education more accessible to the community.

Having had a tough upbringing, Christian never stopped caring about his people, which motivated him to work with Arms Around The Child to build the school - in Christian’s words: “I don’t want this to happen to anybody; suffering because of a lack of money and not having an education. It’s not right. I will try as much as possible.”

He was close to seeing his dream project come true before the devastating earthquake in Turkey hit the home city of Hatayspor, his most recent club…

He might have left us, but his dream lives on. Chelsea Football Club and Everton Football Club have donated their game-worn and issued jerseys from their #PL match to help raise funds and make his dream come true.
