Anderlecht makes a great gesture toward Cercle player Miguel van Damme

Last October, Anderlecht's jerseys from the match against Club Brugge were auctioned off. The total amount of money raised was more than 7,000 euros! As always, the funds went to a charity, but what makes this auction especially heartwarming is the charity Anderlecht chose. They decided to donate all the funds to the 'Me To You' foundation, showing great solidarity with Cercle goalkeeper Miguel van Damme.

Miguel van Damme is a goalkeeper who has played in over 30 matches for Cercle Brugge. But instead of battling on the field, he is now fighting his own battle against the terrible disease that is leukemia. To show their support for their goalkeeper, Cercle organized a special family day for Miguel and the Me To You foundation last February.

At the initiative of their own players, Anderlecht decided to offer a little extra help to their so-called competitor. Besides raising money for the Me To You foundation, all the players wore the name 'Miguel' on their backs. By doing so, they really showed the true meaning of brotherhood!
