A legend in green - celebrating Loïc Perrin’s legendary career!

In collaboration with Le Coq Sportif, French club AS Saint-Étienne has launched a special tribute shirt to commemorate the career of legendary former player Loïc Perrin. The Frenchman, who is now a club ambassador, represented Les Verts for more than 15 years, during which he made a club-record 470 appearances, scored 30 goals, and won the French League Cup in 2013!
Inspired by ASSE’s 2020 French Cup final shirts, the exclusive uniform takes us on a visual journey through Perrin’s remarkable career. Some of the details include illustrations of the player celebrating his first goal for the club, as well as depictions of Perrin’s joy as Saint-Étienne celebrated their Coupe de la Ligue triumph in 2013. Moreover, the number on the back of the shirt includes the names of all 205 players who shared the ASSE locker room with the former captain.
Perrin’s longevity, loyalty, and outstanding footballing ability have helped him stand out among his peers and serve as captain of Les Verts for more than 13 years. The creation of this special-edition kit not only celebrates all of his accomplishments, but also ensures that his name will forever be etched in the club’s history!
Only 470 units of the commemorative shirt—the number of Perrin’s professional appearances—have been produced. Among them, the very special No. 001 and No. 002 shirts have landed on the MatchWornShirt platform!
