Most of Mikael Lustig’s career highlights came at Celtic between 2011 and 2019, when he was part of the team that went undefeated in domestic competitions during the 2016-17 season under current Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers. Lustig also played for the Swedish national team from 2008 until last year. He was part of Sweden’s historic 2018 World Cup run, when they topped a group featuring Mexico, Germany, and South Korea, beat Switzerland in the round of 16 to reach the quarterfinals, and eventually lost to a strong England side.
