Shirts Fighting Leukemia

Published September 22, 2022

On September 17, the match between Cercle Brugge and KV Oostende gave fans a chance to own a worn and signed jersey from their favorite Cercle Brugge players. Despite being a great game, the real talking point for this auction is the foundation that will receive the proceeds: the Me To You Foundation. The foundation aims to prevent the spread of leukemia and related bone marrow and blood diseases.

The foundation fights leukemia by helping fund the most advanced equipment, which is crucial to staying at the forefront of developing new forms of treatment and therapy. They also invest in infrastructure so that clinical research is carried out quickly and effectively.

This is the third collaboration between MatchWornShirt, Cercle Brugge, and the Me To You Foundation. The last collaboration centered on mourning the late goalkeeper and foundation ambassador Miguel Van Damme, who passed away from leukemia on March 29, 2022. To continue honoring Miguel’s contribution to the world of soccer and to continue the fight against leukemia, the club has decided to once again give fans the opportunity to play their part in this initiative.

What makes these Cercle Brugge jerseys so unique is the sponsor on the front. Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed that the usual sponsor, "Napoleon," made way for the "ME TO YOU" logo, which is clearly visible on the front of the jersey. Another special addition to the fundraising event is the signed jersey of Amy Sonck, a popular social media influencer and the daughter of former soccer player Wesley Sonck. Other fan favorites include Leonardo Da Silva, Charles Vanhoutte, and second-goal scorer Ayase Ueda.

MatchWornShirt is proud to support the fight against leukemia. You can now show your support for the fight against leukemia and have a chance to secure a unique piece of this special moment.
