This will not only allow for greater energy and cost savings, but it has also given Feyenoord fans the chance to own a physical memento of this great club and renowned stadium, thanks to the auction taking place on the MatchWornShirt platform. These quintessential pieces of Feyenoord memorabilia have called Stadion Feyenoord home for the past 28 years, lighting up and bearing witness to countless unforgettable moments, such as the 2002 UEFA Cup triumph over Borussia Dortmund and Feyenoord's Eredivisie titles in 1999 and 2017. These lights have also lit up other teams' successes, such as the 1997 UEFA Cup final, when Barcelona were crowned champions against PSG, as well as the 2000 UEFA Euro final, when France beat Italy. Each floodlight is unique, telling its own story through its varying condition. Emphasizing each one's uniqueness, they have also been fitted with a numbered tag and paired with an official certificate of authenticity provided by Feyenoord.

The auction started on December 6 and runs until December 12 via the MatchWornShirt platform, where Feyenoord has already held various auctions for players' worn and signed jerseys. All items will have a starting price of 94 euros as a nod to 1994, the year Stadion Feyenoord was renovated, with proceeds from the lights going to the Feyenoord Foundation.

These floodlights weigh nearly 20 kilograms and are around 40 centimeters long and 25 centimeters high. Due to these unusual characteristics, the floodlights can only be picked up in person by the winners at Stadion Feyenoord itself between December 14 and 23, an endeavor well worth it for the ultimate piece of Feyenoord history.
