This official Lazio shirt was worn by Alessandro Nesta for the Serie A clash against Inter at San Siro in October 1995, when he was just 19.
It comes from the first season in which Serie A players wore fixed squad numbers and their names on their shirts, and the nameset on this shirt matches footage from the game. Under Zdeněk Zeman, the teenage Nesta helped Lazio keep a clean sheet in Milan.
A product of the Lazio youth system, he went on to captain his boyhood club to the last ever Cup Winners' Cup in 1999 and the Scudetto in 2000, then won two Champions Leagues with AC Milan and the 2006 World Cup with Italy.
This match-worn shirt captures one of the most elegant defenders the game has seen at the very start of his rise.
