This official Manchester United jersey was issued to Wayne Rooney for the 3-1 Champions League semi-final second leg win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in May 2009.
This was a famous victory, and Rooney played a direct hand in the goal that settled the tie, driving forward on the counter-attack before picking out Cristiano Ronaldo with an inch-perfect pass for United's third of the night in a 3-1 win, 4-1 on aggregate.
The result sent United into a second successive Champions League final, capping a season in which they were also crowned Premier League champions for a third year running. Rooney would go on to become Manchester United's all-time record goalscorer.
