Frey volgde een kunstopleiding voordat hij prof werd. Dit originele doek, eigenhandig door hem gesigneerd, brengt zijn twee ambachten samen in de kleuren van Antwerpen.
Dit originele schilderij op doek werd in 2026 gemaakt door Royal Antwerp-spits Michael Frey.
Het is geschilderd in de rood-zwart-witte kleuren van de club en toont een volle tribune achter het doel. Voor de supporters viert een nummer 9 feest in de kleuren van de RAFC, hetzelfde nummer dat Frey voor de club draagt.
Voor Frey kwam kunst vóór het voetbal. Hij groeide op in Zwitserland en studeerde aan de kunstacademie voordat hij prof werd. Hij is zijn hele carrière blijven schilderen en haalt vaak inspiratie uit Antwerpen zelf.
Zijn eerste periode bij de club leverde 33 doelpunten op in 69 wedstrijden, waarvan er vijf in één wedstrijd tegen Standard Luik werden gescoord, en een aandeel in de dubbel van 2022-23. Hij kwam in augustus 2026 terug en scoorde bij zijn tweede debuut twee keer tegen SK Beveren, waarbij de winnende treffer een omhaal was. Dit unieke exemplaar, gesigneerd met "Michi Frey 26", is afkomstig van een spits die de Great Old niet alleen met zijn voetbalschoenen, maar ook met een penseel viert.
