This official Wales shirt was worn by David Vaughan for the Nations Cup clash against Scotland at the Aviva Stadium in May 2011.

Vaughan came off the bench in Dublin during the inaugural Nations Cup, early in Gary Speed’s time as manager. It was the busiest year of his Wales career, with seven caps in 2011.

Capped 42 times between 2003 and 2016, Vaughan scored his only goal for his country away to Liechtenstein in a 2010 World Cup qualifier.

This shirt comes from the collection of Charlie Adam, who started for Scotland that night and was Vaughan’s club-mate at Blackpool at the time. It celebrates a Welsh midfielder whose time with the national team ended as part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
