This official Brazil shirt was worn by Dunga for the 1-0 win against England at the Parc des Princes in June 1997. The reigning world champions were in France for Le Tournoi, a four-nation rehearsal for the following summer’s World Cup, and Dunga started in midfield.

Less than three weeks later, Dunga led the Seleção to the Copa América title in Bolivia, with six wins from six and a goal of his own against Colombia. The Confederations Cup followed in December.

In a Brazil team full of artists, Dunga was the one who held everything together. He lifted the World Cup as captain in 1994 and wore the armband in another final four years on. This number 8 belongs to the trophy-laden year in between.

Please note

One or more logos on the front of the shirt are only partially attached and may be lifting or coming away from the fabric.
