This Ryan Giggs shirt was worn in a 4-0 Manchester United win over Olympiakos in the Champions League group-stage during the 2002/03 season.
United were at their rip-roaring best at Old Trafford, dominating their Greek opponents from start to finish. Giggs, known for his electric pace and skill on the left-hand side, was in typically unforgiving form, scoring the opener on the night and later seeing a cross deflected in for the Red Devils’ third goal.
It was a sign of things to come – United went on to win the Premier League that season, an achievement in-part made possible by a draw at champions Arsenal in April 2003 wearing this now iconic blue strip.
