This official AC Milan shirt was worn by Kaká for the Champions League qualifying win against Red Star Belgrade at the Marakana in August 2006.

Kaká started in midfield and played the full match as Milan won 2-1 in Belgrade. That completed a 3-1 aggregate victory and took them into the group stage.

It was the opening tie of the most famous campaign of his career. Kaká finished the 2006/07 Champions League as its top scorer with 10 goals, including a brace against Manchester United in the semi-final, and Milan beat Liverpool in Athens to lift the trophy.

The European Super Cup and Club World Cup followed, and in December 2007 he became the sixth Milan player to win the Ballon d’Or. Signed by Kaká, this match-worn shirt comes from the tie that opened Milan’s road to a seventh European Cup.
