This official Germany shirt was worn by Christian Ziege for the World Cup group clash against the Republic of Ireland at the Kashima Stadium in Ibaraki in June 2002.

Ziege started on the left as Germany led through Miroslav Klose's early header and looked to be the first side to book a place in the knockout rounds. Then, in the second minute of stoppage time, Robbie Keane drove in the equaliser, one of the most famous goals in Irish football history.

Germany went all the way to the final in Yokohama that summer. Ziege, a European champion in 1996, played his club football for Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Liverpool and Tottenham.

This match-worn shirt comes from the collection of Ian Harte, who lined up opposite him at left-back for Ireland.
