Viktor Gyökeres' name will be on the list of many collectors, not just Sweden fans. He finished as the top scorer in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League with 9 goals in 6 games — ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, ahead of Erling Haaland. He scored four in a single game against Azerbaijan, and would be appearing in his first World Cup.

Anthony Elanga, Yasin Ayari, Gustaf Nilsson, Victor Lindelöf are all names expected to feature - whether stars Alexander Isak and Dejan Kulusevski are fit by the summer remains to be seen.
