Each shirt in the Football Shirt Friday Special features the number 6 on the back in tribute to Bobby Moore, who famously wore number 6 as he captained the England team to World Cup glory in 1966.

Bobby Moore Fund x Cancer Research UKBobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up, bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 46 people losing their life to the disease every day in the UK, we still have a long way to go.
