The game and the initiative are dedicated to Juan Carlos Unzué, former Osasuna player fighting against this disease.
Juan Carlos Unzué was formed as a sportsman at Club Atlético Osasuna, a club that throughout its 101 years of history has had at its heart its youth academy. The 'canterano rojillo' came to Osasuna in his first year as a youth player in 1982, a very special year for CA Osasuna as the Tajonar sports facilities were inaugurated.
After his academy journey, Juan Carlos played in two different periods with the first team; one at the beginning of his career and the other at the end. The first took place between 1986 and 1988 and the second between 2001 and 2003. In total, he played 74 games as a goalkeeper for Osasuna, of which 56 were in the First Division and 18 in the Copa del Rey.
Juan Carlos also delighted the fans of Fútbol Club Barcelona, Sevilla Fútbol Club, Club Deportivo Tenerife and Real Oviedo with his saves, in chronological order. And after his retirement as a footballer, he also began a successful career as a coach with Club Deportivo Numancia, Real Racing Club de Santander, Real Club Celta de Vigo, Fútbol Club Barcelona and Girona Fútbol Club.Pour en savoir plus, cliquez ici.
