The Cervélo S5 has one job: get to the line before everyone else. This 2024 Cervélo S5 was used by Victor Campenaerts during a Classics-focused campaign that included Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Kuurne–Brussel–Kuurne, Paris–Nice, and Gent–Wevelgem. At Gent–Wevelgem, Campenaerts delivered a particularly strong display, anticipating from the peloton with under 100 kilometres to go and bridging across to the early break before the first ascent of the Kemmelberg. He held his place in the front of the race deep into the finale before the peloton eventually closed in on the second passage of the climb, marking one of his most active and aggressive performances of the spring. As a result, there may be signs of use on the bike. It has been professionally maintained with the utmost care by the mechanics of Team Visma | Lease A Bike and certain parts of the bike may have been replaced to guarantee user safety if the bike were to be used again.
