This speed skating suit was worn by Jens van ’t Wout during the relay at the Winter Olympics 2026 in Milan–Cortina, where the Dutch men claimed a historic gold medal. In the final, Van ’t Wout, Melle van ’t Wout, Teun Boer and Friso Emons defeated South Korea, Italy and Canada to secure the Olympic title. It marked the first-ever Olympic medal for the Dutch men in the relay and the third gold medal of the Games for Jens van ’t Wout, who had earlier won the 1,000 metres and 1,500 metres, in addition to taking bronze in the 500 metres. Six laps from the finish, Van ’t Wout executed the decisive overtaking move that proved crucial in securing the victory.
In addition, this hybrid suit is the result of a multi-year development process, during which it has been continuously refined and optimised by Sportconfex, with the aim of ensuring that TeamNL athletes can compete as competitively as possible at the Winter Olympics.
