Every poppy tells a story. Of remembrance, of gratitude, and of the people who’ve given so much for others.
This year, that story continues on football pitches across the UK, as we once again unite clubs and fans in support of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal through the auction of unique match-worn and signed football shirts.
Tony Adams, Arsenal legend and former England captain, stands at the heart of this year’s campaign. Speaking in the shadow of the Emirates Stadium, Adams shares what the poppy means to him: honour, respect and remembrance, a symbol that connects generations, both on and off the pitch.
Over the coming weeks, participating teams from the Premier League, EFL, SPFL and WSL will wear poppy shirts as football pays tribute to those who have served.
Each of these match-worn & signed shirts will then be auctioned exclusively on MatchWornShirt, with every bid directly supporting the Royal British Legion’s vital work for the Armed Forces community.
Now in its seventh consecutive year, the MWS campaign has raised almost £3.5 million in support of the Poppy Appeal to date.

Join Tony Adams, MatchWornShirt, and football clubs across the UK in supporting this year’s Poppy Appeal.
